Can magnets damage your computer?

Once I messed up my CRT monitor using a toy magnet and then onwards I always kept magnets away from all my computing devices including phone and laptops. So I was wondering, can magnets really damage our phones and computers? Watch the video and let me know what you think in the comments below :)
